Each project's got its own story. Here's a look at spaces we've shaped over the years - from ground-up builds to thoughtful renovations that brought new life to old structures.
We don't believe in cookie-cutter solutions. Every client brings different needs, different dreams, and honestly, different challenges. That's what keeps this work interesting. Below you'll find a mix of residential gems, commercial spaces that actually work for the people using them, and a few heritage projects we're pretty proud of.

This one was all about maximizing those lake views while keeping energy consumption way down. The clients wanted modern but not cold - so we brought in natural materials and created these flowing spaces that change with the light throughout the day.
Key Features: Passive solar design, triple-glazed windows, green roof system, reclaimed wood accents
Commercial / 2022
Converted an old manufacturing building into collaborative workspace for tech startups. The bones were solid but we had to completely reimagine the interior flow. Ended up keeping a lot of the industrial character - exposed brick, original wood beams - while adding modern HVAC and lighting that doesn't kill the vibe.
Key Features: Adaptive reuse, flexible floor plans, natural ventilation, LED lighting with daylight sensors

Young family needed more space but loved their neighbourhood. Instead of moving, we added a second story and reconfigured the main floor. The trick was keeping the street presence modest while opening up the back to their garden. Now they've got room to grow without losing that Annex character.
Key Features: Second-story addition, open-concept main floor, passive cooling design, insulated concrete forms
Before: Victorian Semi-Detached
After: Preserved Character, Modern Systems
Working with heritage buildings is like solving a puzzle where you can't see all the pieces. This 1890s semi needed everything - foundation work, new mechanical systems, updated insulation - but the clients wanted to keep the original charm. We stripped it back carefully, upgraded what needed upgrading, and kept the details that made it special in the first place.
Commercial / 2021
Retail on the ground floor, offices above, and residential units on top - this project had to work for three different groups of people. The challenge was creating separate identities while making the whole building feel cohesive. We used setbacks and different materials to break up the massing, plus added those corner windows everyone seems to love.
Look, sustainability isn't just a checkbox for us. Every project starts with questions about energy use, material sourcing, and long-term maintenance. We're always pushing for better insulation, smarter mechanical systems, and materials that'll actually last. Sometimes that means spending a bit more upfront, but it pays off - both for our clients' operating costs and for the planet.
We've gotten pretty good at balancing aesthetics with performance. Solar panels don't have to be ugly. Good insulation doesn't mean thick walls. And natural ventilation can work even in Toronto's climate if you design for it from the start.
We've got detailed case studies and more photos for most of these projects. Give us a call and we can walk you through what worked, what we learned, and how we might apply those lessons to your project.
